I’ve finished my four weeks of fulltime paid work, and will be returning to the bliss of unpaid research til the end of the semester (unless I get offered something fabulous, or we run outta cash). So I can catch up on posting photos, which I’ve been getting a bit behind on.
Zoe posted on making Andrew McConnell’s baked eggs a little while ago. I made them too, and they were quite popular. I’ve now made them a few times, they got a warm reception when we stayed at the beach with friends last week, and they weren’t quite this messy the second and third time I made them. They were good at the beach house, but the unreliable ancient electric oven is no friend of this cook or the runny yolk.
Climbed up on the bench and helped himself to the packet.

I’d be lifting the geriatric dog up onto the table for that one
I’ve been making a Karen Martini version with chorizo and white beans – it’s got chorizo!

Ah, cripes. He’s clearly enjoying that immensely.

Sadly, we have no dog, and the Bloke was out for the evening, so the clean up was all me. It also got on the walls, but that’s not unusual. He likes to get really involved with his food.
I forgot to mention, the muffin shot was taken just after he’d climbed up on the bench and helped himself to the packet. I may need electric fencing or something in the next house.

Oh Mister Hart, what a mess!
It looks like he had a great time. It reminds me of the many times I have had to wipe canned spaghetti off of walls when my kids were at their little angel size.

Hey, just thought you’d like to know I wandered over here from Clementine’s Shoes blog roll.
I am very happy today, so happy in fact that I would even cuddle the Lad with egg all over him. Thank the universe for the Aust Research Council!

Also, i’ve just been reminded that I don’t have to stay too long on my first day. I actually did miss leaving in time for my intended train….

Iona dear, have you considered getting your own blog for bragging about your new job? Surely by 5.45pm you were hungry, given that you forgot to take your lunch?
