A picture for Janet. (One of) my clothes drying rack(s). In action beside the back door, taking advantage of the lack of seals around the door. The red peg, in the middle of the t-shirt on the bottom rack was placed by the toddler. I generally don’t aspire to peg marks in the middle of my chest.
Sometimes it’s important to lighten the mood, get away from the all black, and spice it up. Which is when I wear a bit of charcoal. Perhaps for summer I might acquire something a little less funereal. But I’m not making any promises.

thank you, and for making me laugh… and oh how I love black clothes… I feel it’s important to have at least one of everything in black

I understand that black is easy to co ordinate but I have to say I have never really subscribed to the Melbourne Black Ideal.
Admittedly for me it probably helps that I can destroy black clothes almost as easily as I can white… and wellll I only have one white piece in my entire wardrobe for a good reason
Kind Regards
Belinda

It all looks so sophisticated just hanging there.

More like school uniform I think Kris. It’s just easy to have a whole wardrobe full of stuff that looks ok for any job (one of the joys of temping, a new dresscode every week) and all of it goes together.
Black isn’t ideal for toddler care though. The snot on my should shows up all silvery.

I have one of those V-neck, wrapped, gathered tops. I love it so much I’m trying to find the same thing in a better fabric – the one I have is a cheapie from the Double Happiness Golden local sweatshop outlet.

That one is very comfortable. It was half price from a shop at Pt Lonsdale, but still not exactly cheap, spotted by a friend with keen eyes. Fortunately for me it wasn’t a good fit on my mate so I bought it instead.
Probably made in the same sweatshop though.

Why thankyou. Charcoal top is still my favourite and I wouldn’t even lend it to my best mate (fortunately she’s too short of limb and too much in Adelaide to borrow my clothes anyway). The skirt is actually pants, and a button fell off them today, so the honeymoon is over and the long haul of wearer-pant marriage has begun.
